Are You a Pretzel Maker?
Situations, circumstances, problems! It seems the older you are, the more problems you have. You would think that the older you get, the less problems there would be because you would have encountered the majority of life’s situations. Unfortunately, that’s just not the case because problems seem to never go away. In fact, sometimes they just become more complex as can be seen in below four family situations. An Act of Kindness Goes a Long Way!
Throughout the beginning of this New Year, I encourage each of you to display an act of kindness to someone. It doesn’t matter if your act of kindness is large or small, what matters is that it helps to change a person’s outlook on life from negative to positive. You never know what effect you can have on someone, and your act of kindness may be the one thing that can be encouraging enough to keep them going. Read the rest of this entry »
Check Your Motives in 2012
For many people, one of the best things about seeing a New Year come is that it brings promises of a new start. Think about it. The Greatest Gift
We are now in one of the biggest Holiday Seasons of the year. We can see the hustle and bustle of people trying to find that perfect gift, or trying to make those perfect family dinner plans. It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving Day is only a few short days away. It seems this year has flown by and once again we’re on the brink of another New Year. But, as we draw close to Thanksgiving, we must all remember that it really it’s about having just another family gathering in which we eat stuffing, greens, turkey, and cornbread. Instead it’s about thanking our Lord for what He has blessed us with throughout the year. Read the rest of this entry »

The Battle is in Your Mind Part II
Previously, we talked about how we become what we think. In other words, if we want to be excellent in whatever we do, we must think thoughts of excellence. To do this we must program our minds to always think positively. Remember though, always thinking positively may take some time and may be painful, but in the end the results will definitely be well worth the pain because we’ll be free to be all that God intended for us to be.
